    Learn the Art of Rosemaling!

    Contact: Ruth Green: ruthndennisgreen@gmail.com

We will gather at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa for the convention on June 22 - 28, 2018.

Artists will have an opportunity to gather in painting communities, share style ideas, take classes, visit the Vesterheim museum, take in the sights around Decorah (including the famous Eagles), as well as having many opportunities to grow in their craft.

We reserved a dorm that holds 250 for our attendees, which is located directly across from the main building that has 12 classrooms. This is where most of our classes will be held. Right next door, the Centennial Union will house the vendors for this groundbreaking event. Our breakfast and lunch will be served in this building as well.

We will have access to the Vesteheim 2018 Rosemaling Exhibit and tour the museum as part of the week. The conference will also feature one special evening event, “A Night at the Museum.” It will be a unique opportunity for our national rosemaling family.

The rooms and the meals are reasonably priced. The event promises to be educational, a way to network and connect with fellow artisans, as well as create a get-a-way to improve your craft.

    Want to Join Us?

When you join, Rosemaling Coast to Coast, we keep you updated as we progress toward the event. We will need many volunteers, both prior, during, and after the convention. Rosemaling Coast to Coast was started as an idea from artists with a deep love of rosemaling in 2016. This incredible idea got artists talking around the nation. Rosemaling Coast to Coast received its non-profit status in April of 2017 and started recruiting a leadership team and members to join the incredible movement. The idea was to get rosemalers around the nation into one place, at one time. Think about it. The west-coast creativity, the southern artistry, the eastern originality, the northern inspiration and the midwestern imagination all in one place. It is bound to be ahhhh-mazing!
